Respiratory signs can come from dusty or damp bedding, ammonia building up in a poorly ventilated house, or an infectious disease. Check ventilation and litter first, because ammonia strong enough to sting your own eyes at chick height is damaging their airways. If the signs spread through the flock, get a diagnosis rather than guessing at a treatment.
